Karzai seems almost decent compared to the usual U.S. puppet, but I'm afraid he's fucked.  He's like King Canute trying to hold back the tide except that this tide runs on torture and murder.  I sure hope he's got a better exit stragegy than that poor bastard Najibullah.

actually, if we had deployed this number of troopps in Afghanistan, Karzai wouldn't feel so threatened and left out in the cold (and you wonder why so many third world nations don't trust us?) and some real success could be arrived at there...sigh.
